Many years ago, in a place unbeknownst to me, a little sarcastic pain in the ass was born. Years later the great male turned professional Olympiad, Ice Hockey Pro, and reigning 6 time Ugandian Winter Straw counting champion celebrates yet another birthday. Ironically on the same date as all the others.

To date his accomplisments have no rival. At the age of 5 he was already twice as old as kids half his age. By age 10 he once again matched this feat. His history is rivaled with that of Jesus Christ as we have no written records of him from age 13-33 (typed or electronic do not count).

In the summer of 2000 he tamed the mighty West like the original Patriots of our country. There he spoke to the N’Orleans, survived Alabama, fought the long paved road of Texas and learned about the 5th largest wine producing state. Later he saved the country from Aliens in New Mexico, and became the great protector he is now with his own family by learning to save others from the villianous and feared Beach Dog.

The only man to ever enter Las Vegas in the passanger seat of a 1989 Dodge Shadow registered in CT just hours after the Los Angelas Lakers won the NBA Title. He took Vegas by storm and was such a forceful power nobody dare speak his name to this day. Even in his return visits to Vegas they act as if they don’t know him out of fear.

After all this man did, even taking his appearances in the North Carolina Waffel House which is to this day referred to as the day Tony at the Waffel House in NC, he still managed to conquor the Thing. It took miles and miles, and an unbelievable understanding but he like no other triumphed over the thing the call… the , um…Thing.

This man, who is such a great person and probably can be considered perfect, once even had an awkward moment, just to see what it felt like. It is fabled he is the only person in history to get a 1601 on the SAT’s. He Bowled a 301 in bowling once, and even finished a perfect round of gold in 17 holes. In his sapre time one day he built a model replica of the Great Wall of China, to scale, and still had time to compete in Nathens Famous Hot Dog challenge in NY, which of course he won but later steped aside so others could win and take the glory.

So on this day we celebrate the man who once single handedly helped a one armed man play solitare. His name will be forever known to others as Anthony, but to us as Anthony.

Many years ago the peoples were as one and undivided.  For hundreds of years life had pretty much remained the same among the people of the plains.  Farming was the main way of life.  Father to son, mother to daughter, elder to younger, the ways of the old were past down to the youth.  As time went on ideas changed and grew as how to life live and what was best for the community as is the way with most any peoples and culture.  Ours was no different; our history mimics others like a reflection of a mountain on the water, clear and steady.  However, much like others I believe, sometimes the water does not stand still and it must move on. That is how it has been for man, our community and even our particular settlement.

 

The history books say that at one point we were all as one, a large community of peoples living closely and as one.  Over time, people left to go search out and see what was on the horizons’.  Much like leaving a family when one comes of age, however this was people, families and groups leaving the whole community to travel far away and start their own.  I guess in a way, everything can be seen as family. This migration away surely a pattern that bodes for the argument.

 

The Gyars. That is what my people are called. Not all man, but those of us in the settlement area of the East. Each major settlement took on a name to identify them from the others. Ours, means workplace. Taken on because when the 1^st assemblage of citizens (called the Travelers) chose to leave we remained to work and build. Each settlement is  made up of smaller communities. In the beginning it was mainly for protection and defense, from threats of outsiders and the wild beasts that lived on the outskirts.  The other settlement areas to the west and further did not have needs for such protection because they were never under threat of the beasts that run wild and can attack. It seems to be only our area of the land affected with this evil.  That is why of all the settlements, ours is the most tightly knit, the closest, and with leadership based on the olde ways.  That being the elders have say the most.  Again, much like in a small family, the older ones with the longer years and more experience preside over the youth and guide their ways based on knowledge and familiarity.  While the young are able, strong and spirited, it takes experience to watch for others and guide them along life’s path.
